This post shows you the 21 Romantic Date Ideas Before the Baby Comes.
This time before the baby comes is so precious for couples. I never envisioned that we would be this excited and happy, even though everyone told me this time would be truly special.

However, I noticed that we often feel overwhelmed with all the baby talk and the endless to-do lists before the baby arrives.
Sometimes, you really need to relax and unwind with your partner and forget about the stress and anxiety that come with being pregnant.
That’s why I’ve gathered 21 romantic date ideas for you and your partner!
1 Paint-by-Numbers Date
Pick a paint-by-numbers kit featuring your honeymoon destination, favorite city, or a place that holds meaning for you. Maybe something tropical that reminds you of your awesome honeymoon, or something that reminds you of the place where you first kissed (mine was in a botanical garden!).
Pour some drinks, put on a playlist, and enjoy the painting. It’s super fun, and the results always turn out amazing.
2 Cake Shop Date

Visit your favorite bakery and order the cake (or dessert) you had on your wedding day. Go back to the place where you ordered your cake and get the exact same one. If your bakery doesn’t sell cake by the slice, book a cake tasting and try as many flavors as possible!
You’ll feel like newlyweds all over again. It’s a sweet way to relive old memories while making new ones.
3 Photoshoot Memory Walk
Take a walk around your city, stopping at places that hold meaning: where you met, had your first date, or got engaged. Snap photos at each stop, recreating moments from your journey together. If you have a Polaroid camera, then you can take it with you and use the photos for an album or scrapbook!
4 Stargazing & Wishes for Baby
Drive to a quiet spot away from city lights, lay out a blanket, and just look up. Take turns sharing wishes and dreams for your baby, the little things you can’t wait to experience as parents.
Use an app on your phone to learn about constellations and enjoy the starry night. If you’re doing this during the winter months, book a date in an observatory instead!
5 Handwritten Love Letter Exchange

Write letters to each other about what this stage of life means to you. Exchange them over dinner or a cozy night in. Seal them up and open them on a future anniversary or milestone.
6 Recreate Your First Date
Go back to where you had your first date, order the same meal, sit at the same table, and relive the excitement of that night.
My husband and I used to go back to the same place on the day when we first got together (10 years ago!). It was amazing, yet it felt so different. In a way, the best thing about recreating the first date is to feel and cherish just how much you’ve changed and how wonderful it is to have spent time together.
If you can’t go back, recreate it at home with the same food, music, and conversation starters.
7 Wine & Cheese Night (Mocktail Edition)

Set up a DIY wine and cheese pairing at home, but with pregnancy-friendly mocktails! Get fancy with different cheeses, crackers, and spreads, and taste-test together like you’re at a vineyard.
I know you already know this, but make sure not to eat any blue cheese or soft cheese like Brie and Camembert.
8 Love Story Movie Night
Pick a movie that played a role in your relationship, maybe the one you watched on your first date, or something that just feels like you. Make popcorn, cuddle up, and just enjoy the nostalgia.
9 Couples Massage Class at Home
Watch a simple massage tutorial and take turns practicing techniques on each other. Light some candles, play spa music, and make it feel like a mini-retreat at home. This is also a very practical date idea, as these massages are going to be very important throughout the pregnancy!
10 Scavenger Hunt for Love Notes

Write short love notes and hide them around the house for your partner to find throughout the night. Each one can be a memory, a compliment, or something that makes you both laugh.
11 DIY “Open When” Letters
Write a few ‘Open When’ letters for your partner, like “Open When You Need a Laugh” or “Open When You’re Stressed.” Seal them up and keep them for when parenthood gets overwhelming.
12 Hotel Staycation Night
Book a one-night stay at a hotel in your city, order room service, and pretend you’re on vacation. Dress up, go out, or just stay in bed and enjoy the uninterrupted time together.
13 Sunset Rooftop Date

Find a rooftop bar, restaurant, or scenic overlook, and enjoy a slow evening watching the sunset. Talk about life, sip on something delicious, and just soak in the moment.
14 Music & Dance Night
Make a playlist of songs from your relationship: your wedding song, road trip favorites, or anything nostalgic. Play them loud, dance around the house, and relive those moments.
15 DIY Ice Cream Sundae Bar
Set up a make-your-own sundae station with all your favorite toppings. Layer on the whipped cream, drizzle on the chocolate, and go all in on the sugar rush together.
16 Themed Cooking Night
Pick a cuisine inspired by a favorite trip or place you love and cook a meal together. Play music from that country, try a new recipe, and make it a whole experience.
17 Picnic Under Twinkle Lights

Set up twinkle lights in your backyard, balcony, or even indoors, and have a cozy picnic. Pack snacks and a soft blanket, and enjoy a quiet, intimate meal together.
18 Love Coupon Date
Each of you writes out a few love coupons: “One Free Massage,” “Breakfast in Bed,” and “Your Choice of Date Night.” Take turns redeeming them throughout the night!
19 Surprise “Yes” Date
One of you plans a surprise date, and the other has to say yes to everything. Whether it’s a fun activity, a silly challenge, or a new restaurant, it’s all about going with the flow and enjoying the moment.
20 Scrapbook Memory Night
Gather old photos, ticket stubs, and keepsakes and put together a scrapbook of your love story! If you don’t have anything that you can use, you can go and buy a new notebook and start working on it from now on!
I have been keeping a scrapbook of our relationship ever since we got together, and let me tell you, we often look at it and shed happy tears! I can’t imagine how amazing it would be to show our kid this one day.
21 Sunrise Breakfast Date

Wake up early, watch the sunrise together, and have a slow breakfast. Whether it’s homemade pancakes or a coffee run, it’s a peaceful way to start the day and reflect on everything ahead.
